Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel position in New Jersey, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active NJ RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Schedule is 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7AM–5PM)
- 37.5 hours per week
- On-call is required for STEMI coverage: 10–12 shifts per month, including 1–2 weekend call rotations (Friday 5PM–Monday 7AM), which are counted within the 10–12 shift total
- Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
- EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active NJ RN license required (compact license accepted if NJ-equivalent)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment across the perioperative continuum, from pre-procedure evaluation through post-procedure care
- Performs direct patient care activities within the Cath Lab, demonstrating knowledge of emergency equipment and cardiac cath procedures
- Documents nursing assessments, interventions, patient education, and progress toward outcomes in accordance with facility guidelines
- Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals including use of two patient identifiers and Universal Protocol
- Travelers may be assigned to a nearby sister facility on an as-needed basis
- Travelers are eligible for up to one calendar year on assignment from initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment at this facility
