Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Dickson, TN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience and active ACLS certification.
Details
- Located in the Interventional Cardiology / Heart Center unit of a hospital setting
- Team structure per case: 2 RNs, 1 scrub tech, and 1 MD
- Procedures performed include cardiac cath, PCI, TEE, loop recorder insertion, peripheral angiogram, pacemaker and defibrillator placement, nuclear stress testing, treadmill stress testing, and Holter monitors
- Equipment used includes GE Innova 2100 and Mac Lab
- Documentation systems: Meditech, Merge, and Mac Lab
- Schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, with days to be determined
- Rotating weeknight STEMI call (approximately 1 night per week) and weekend STEMI call (approximately 1 weekend per month) required
- No floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab RN experience required
- Interventional radiology (IR) experience preferred
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Solid color scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
- Certifications from AHA or ARC are accepted for this HCA facility
