Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general pediatric and adult units for a 4-week night shift contract at an academic teaching hospital in Burlington, VT.
Details
- Inpatient respiratory therapy position at an academic teaching hospital
- Patient population spans NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Monday through Sunday scheduling with no block schedules
- Weekend work required as needed
- No on-call or charge responsibilities
- No floating required
- Epic EMR used; recent experience is required
Requirements
- RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
- Experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Two professional references required from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
- License required if applicable
- A personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
- All specialties worked must be thoroughly documented within each individual employment entry in work history
- All work history must include facility bed count, EMR, and facility type
- Employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
- Local candidates are accepted; pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility — travel (101 miles), radius (51–100 miles), and local (50 miles or less)
- SSN and DOB are required for consideration
- Schedule flexibility is a must
