Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with NICU/PICU experience and recent Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in Berlin, Vermont.
Details
- Work in a hospital respiratory therapy department serving all age groups, including ICU and ED patients
- Patient population includes neonates and pediatrics; the facility plays a significant role in NICU/PICU care despite not having a dedicated unit
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
- At minimum every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed based on unit needs
- No float requirement
- No charge requirement
- No specified scrub color requirement
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Current RRT credential required
- Current certifications required: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Neonatal and pediatric experience (NICU/PICU) required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
- License required if applicable
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required for consideration, with at least one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to patients across all age groups, with meaningful involvement in neonatal and pediatric care
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- Pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility: travel rate applies for candidates 101 miles away, a radius rate for 51–100 miles, and a local rate for 50 miles or less
- Local candidates are accepted
- All employment history must include complete details such as bed count, EMR used, and facility type; any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
