Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift position (with some night flexibility) at a community hospital in Massachusetts, requiring an active MA license and AHA certifications.
Details
- Day shift hours of 6:00 AM–6:30 PM with flexibility to cover some night shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Respiratory Therapy department at a community hospital in Massachusetts
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
- Associate degree or equivalent required
- BLS certification required from AHA or American Red Cross (AHA preferred)
- NRP certification required from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AHA preferred)
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Administers respiratory therapy treatments to assigned patients and performs various related technical duties
- Reports to the Clinical Manager of Respiratory Care and operates within established organizational and departmental policies
- Local candidates whose permanent residence is within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but will be placed at a reduced pay rate
- Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
- Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate expense
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
