Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with acute care vent experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a 371-bed hospital in Salem, MA.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory Care department of a 371-licensed-bed acute care hospital with 220 Med/Surg beds, an MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, and a Level 2B Nursery
- Night shift hours: 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Staffing ratios: 5 RTs on day shift (1 charge, 2 ICU, 2 Med/Surg floors), 5 on evenings, and 4 on nights
- Equipment used includes the PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
- Ventilator experience in an acute care setting required
- CRT or RRT certification from the NBRC
- Active Massachusetts (MA) Respiratory Therapist license required — no pending licenses accepted (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required — AHA only; no other providers accepted at this facility
- Ability to draw arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across the ICU and Med/Surg floors
- Night shift is straight nights; no rotation to other shifts
- Time keeping system: UKG/Kronos
- Local candidates are welcome — candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but may be subject to a rate adjustment
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
