Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with NICU stabilization experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a regional medical center requiring candidates to live at least 50 miles from the facility.

- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Varied shift days with every other weekend required

Requirements
- RRT credential required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a U.S. hospital setting
- NICU or neonatal stabilization experience required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA-issued only)
- ABG license required if applicable
- Active, unrestricted state license required (no pending licensure accepted)
- U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the most recent 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Administer respiratory care per physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, patient management, education, rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary care
- Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
- Applies and monitors medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care
- Supports hemodynamic cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services
