Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 2 years of experience for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) position, LTAC experience preferred.

Details

• Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting
• Adult patient population with potential for pediatric patients
• Day shift schedule rotating between 3x12 hour and 4x12 hour weeks (7:00 - 19:30)
• 36/48 rotating schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Float required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• RRT license required; CRT accepted
• Active Compact or State License in hand required at time of consideration, license required if applicable
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• LTAC experience preferred
• 2 professional references required, including 1 Charge or Higher and 1 Supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
• Copy of certifications required for consideration
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address

Additional Information

• Must be willing to accept an 84-hour per two-week schedule (one week 3x12, next week 4x12); candidates unable to accept this schedule will not be considered
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO will be considered and must be presented upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during every holiday period
• Travelers who have completed one year in the system must take a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Minimal traveler pairs accepted; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
