American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse-ECMO Specialist for a pediatric ICU setting with 2 years of experience and Cardio Help proficiency required.
Responsibilities
- Work as an ECMO Specialist in a pediatric hospital environment
- Patient assignment includes managing both VA ECMO and VV ECMO for cardiac and non-cardiac cases
- Float to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU as needed
- Patient ratio is typically 1:2
- Day shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
- Every third weekend is required
- Serve as an ECMO pump specialist and manage care for critically ill pediatric patients
- Provide bedside nursing care in ICUs for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients if no ECMO patients are present
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former perm employees of the facility are not eligible
- Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not accepted
- Active NE or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Hands-on experience with Cardio Help equipment
- Experience managing both VA ECMO and VV ECMO patients
