American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and night shift availability.

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes medical and post-surgical patients requiring remote telemetry monitoring
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7, with support plans in place during high-census situations
• Proficiency in IV starts, non-titratable cardiac drips, and telemetry rhythm interpretation required
• Documentation and communication systems include Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units with equivalent skill levels may be required
• Schedule is unit-managed
• 13-week contract with the possibility of extension beyond 13 weeks

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required for first-time travelers to be considered
• Telemetry experience preferred, including rhythm recognition
• IV start proficiency required

• Care for medical and post-surgical patients with remote telemetry monitoring
• Orientation consists of 12 hours on the unit, plus a full week of hospital orientation with required daily class attendance
• Scrubs must be navy blue, white, or a navy/white combination
• No RTO is permitted after booking, and any call-offs may result in contract cancellation
• Maximum of 7 RTO days allowed during the contract
• Local candidates are accepted
• First-time travelers are considered only if they have Epic experience
