American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and strong critical care skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Adult Emergency Department of a Level 1 trauma center
- Designated Stroke Center and Primary PCI center for acute myocardial infarction patients
- Provides care in triage, trauma, rapid assessment, and emergency acute care areas
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Fast-paced setting with a highly varied patient population
- Role involves rapid triage, trauma response, and emergency patient care
- Critical thinking, public health knowledge, and strong patient education skills needed
- Team supports both trauma and acute care cases in a high-pressure environment
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where specified otherwise
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 trauma center or academic hospital
- Experience at a facility with 500 beds required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 1 year of travel nurse experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- ATCN or TNCC certification preferred
