Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 1 year of experience for a weekend day shift contract in a hospital radiology department.
Details
- Hospital radiology department setting
- Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures including patient transfers, contrast administration, and radiographic imaging
- 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Weekends required
- Charting in Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology
- Active ARRT (R) registration required
- CT certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date
- Active state license required, if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required; candidates with an existing badge from a prior employer are preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EMR
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills within a multi-functional team
- Knowledge of radiation safety measures (ALARA), sterile technique, and infection prevention protocols
- Ability to evaluate image quality and operate X-ray imaging equipment
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include positioning and immobilizing patients, performing X-ray procedures, administering contrast per Radiologist protocol, and submitting images and clinical information for Radiologist interpretation
- Responsible for supervising and evaluating student radiographers in the clinical setting
- Must follow infection prevention policies and maintain sterile technique
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
