Description
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with CA licensure, ARRT-T, and experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department in Santa Cruz.

- Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
- 13-week contract
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours; shift start times vary between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM β flexibility required
- Uses Elekta linear accelerator, Mosaiq oncology information system, and AlignRT surface-guided radiation therapy system
Requirements
- Active California Radiation Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
- Current ARRT (T) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience required
- Hands-on experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT required
Additional Information
- Competently performs routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with physician-developed treatment plans
- Works independently using sound clinical judgment to execute safe, precise, and timely treatment delivery
- Responsible for patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
- May orient other staff to department procedures
- Adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and privacy standards
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Former employees or travelers must have been away from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
