American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown position in Rock Island, IL, requiring 2 years of cardiac stepdown experience and active IL and IA RN licenses.
Details- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown setting within a multi-campus health system
- Cardiac stepdown patient population
- Night shift patient ratio is 1:5 to 1:6; charge nurses account for each nurse's level of cardiac experience when making assignments
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating may be required across local campuses (Rock Island, Bettendorf, Moline, and Muscatine) within the same discipline
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- 13-week contract
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
- Active IA RN license also required; if not yet active, proof of application for an IA single-state or compact RN license must be provided during compliance
- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac stepdown / PCU experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- One supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years preferred
- Contributes professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply
