Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient clinic position requiring a minimum of 1 year of outpatient experience, with first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting focused on orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation
• Patient population includes orthopedic conditions such as low back pain, cervicalgia, DDD, DJD, hip fractures, total hip and knee replacements, post-op shoulder and spinal surgeries, frozen shoulder, ankle sprains, and gait impairments
• Neurologic patient population includes post-stroke rehabilitation
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Epic EMR preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical evaluation skills required
• Proficiency with standard PT modalities including e-stim, TENS, ultrasound, moist heat, cervical and lumbar traction preferred
• Experience with gait training, extremity mobilization, therapeutic exercise (AROM/AAROM/PROM), and assistive/adaptive devices
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former employees of any Guthrie facility must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable online modules required prior to start
• Responsibilities include evaluation, plan of care development, short- and long-term goal setting, reassessments, discharge planning, and patient/family education
• Additional specialty areas include sports medicine and work conditioning preferred
