American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1-2 years of academic medical center experience, preferably with PET/CT, for a 13-week travel assignment in Massachusetts.
Details- Radiology - Nuclear Medicine department at an academic medical center
- PET/CT focused unit utilizing the Siemens Biograph CT 64 and Medrad Intego automated injector
- Radiopharmaceuticals handled include FDG, Posluma, Amyvid, Dotatate, and Cerianna
- Images pushed via DICOM to MIM and McKesson PACS
- 10-hour day shifts
- No on-call required
- First two weeks of orientation scheduled Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM
- 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine at an academic medical center required; PET/CT experience preferred
- ARRT (N) or CNMT required
- BLS (AHA) required
- MA Radiologic Technology license required if applicable
- Proficiency with venipuncture and glucometer operation
- Familiarity with ALARA radiation safety principles and USP <825> compliance required
- Responsibilities include patient screening prior to exam, venipuncture, glucometer operation, unit dose handling, DICOM image push to PACS, charge entry, and image verification
- Additional duties include cleaning of incubation rooms and camera after patient use, and stocking of supplies in incubation rooms and hot lab
- Orientation is held weekly every Monday (excluding holidays)
- An interview is required; candidates should be prepared to provide availability
- COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required; medical exemptions are accepted
- Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season
- All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Candidates who have worked at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility (travel, permanent, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Parking in the area can cost up to $43/day; candidates are encouraged to inquire for details
