American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel contract requiring cardiac telemetry experience and Epic proficiency for a 16-week night shift assignment in North Carolina.
Details- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Patient ratio of 1:5 in the PCU
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring is a core component of the role
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Floating between all health system campuses is required as needed
- Active NC RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
- Experience managing and interpreting dysrhythmias required
- Proficiency in peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required
- Experience titrating drips required
- Experience working with PCU patient ratios (1:5) required
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- A zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced
