American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment at a hospital in Jerome, ID, treating ortho, neuro, and medical patients on weekday day shifts.
Details- Inpatient rehab setting covering Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed units
- Patient population includes orthopedic/total joints, neurological (strokes, occasional brain injuries), medical, and general ICU cases
- Caseload of approximately 8–10 patients per day with 1 therapist on per day
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts (0830–1700)
- Position requires daily floating between the Jerome location and Magic Valley Medical Center based on census
- Epic EMR used in this position
- Holiday coverage may be required
- No self-scheduling; no blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted
- Active OT license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting preferred; candidates with limited experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong performance in prior placements
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Orientation typically consists of 2–3 days in the department; travelers should plan for a Monday–Friday schedule during onboarding
- Scrubs are permitted; scrub color must not match other departments — a list of approved colors is provided upon hire
- No COTAs or Rehab Aides on staff; OT manager is present
- Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Candidates with a strong track record in prior travel placements are especially encouraged to apply for this more independent, remote-setting role
