American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Gastroenterology Clinic position in Rapid City, SD, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience.
Details- Outpatient clinic setting within a Gastroenterology unit
- This is a phone-based, call center role — all patient interaction is conducted via phone or through Epic with no in-person patient contact
- Responsibilities include GI procedure scheduling, triage of referrals, phone-based patient encounters, and MyChart inquiries
- Patients are educated on GI procedures including upper and lower endoscopies
- Clinic duties may include taking vitals, rooming documentation, patient education, scheduling, and assisting providers with exams up to 5 days per week depending on provider availability
- Epic EMR is required for this role
- Schedule is 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements
- Active RN license issued by the South Dakota Board of Nursing, or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
- Previous GI/Endoscopy experience is highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Strong communication, care coordination, customer service, and organizational skills
- Comfort with clinic-based patient care tasks including vitals, rooming, documentation, and provider assistance
- Two professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Orientation provided by the Nurse Supervisor
- Team includes a nursing supervisor and clinic nurses (RNs/LPNs)
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free parking is available on-site

- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
