American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in a Resource Float Pool setting, requiring at least one year of experience and active ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
Details- Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a resource float pool, primarily based at one campus with the possibility of floating to a secondary campus as needed
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 7p–7a (3x12s), with 48-hour weeks also available
- Weekends required on an as-needed basis
- On-call is required; two on-call shifts or two additional shifts per six-week period are required
- Holiday coverage is required as part of on-call obligations
- Floating to other units across multiple campuses is possible as part of this resource pool role
- Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
- Active SC or Compact RN license required prior to start date (pending license considered for application)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required; 2 years preferred
- Must be able to pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- This is a resource float pool position — RN will be informed of their assigned campus in advance of each scheduled shift
- Shaving may be required on-site to pass an N95 fit test; failure to pass fit testing will result in disqualification from the requirement
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial application; RTO requests made after submission will not be considered
- An attendance policy is in place: missing more than two shifts in a 13-week contract without a reasonable explanation may result in contract review and potential cancellation
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
