American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Resource Pool/Float Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic experience and NY RN licensure in a region where personal vehicle transportation is essential.

• Resource Pool/Float position in a hospital setting
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with responsibility to cover ED Hold patients as well
• 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with a minimum of every other weekend required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• No block scheduling is permitted
• 4-week contract
• Epic EMR is used; experience from within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable

• Active RN license required; NY RN license (or proof of pending NY licensure) is required for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required — at least one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Candidates are expected to float across Med/Surg Telemetry and cover ED Hold patients
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (November through April) is strongly recommended
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility and those residing 51–100 miles away are both eligible to apply; distance is measured in a straight line, not driving distance
• Vermont licensure is not required at time of consideration; candidates without VT licensure will be accepted
• Any employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required for consideration
