Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel LVN/LPN with outpatient clinic experience and prior travel experience for an ambulatory care assignment in Missouri.
Details
- Outpatient ambulatory care clinic setting
- Oncology-focused unit with medical and surgical oncology patients
- Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30), 5 days per week
- On-call availability required
- Weekend availability required
- Must be available to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
- Floating to other units is mandatory, including as a Patient Observer (Sitter)
- Cerner EMR used; experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact LPN/LVN license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient clinic experience required
- Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration — no exceptions
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include vital sign monitoring, pain assessment and management, medication reconciliation, isolation precautions/PPE, and patient follow-up phone calls
- Regular exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is expected in this role
- Candidates located within 75 miles of the facility are accepted but at a reduced pay rate
- Travelers returning after a 9-month or longer gap from a previous assignment at this facility are eligible to return
- Re-orientation is not required for travelers returning within 18 months
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to the travel experience requirement
