Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN with Maine or compact state licensure and post-acute LTC experience for a 13-week night shift assignment at a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Maine.
Details
- Work takes place across multiple post-acute and long-term care units within a larger medical facility
- 3 East is a 31-bed specialized Alzheimer's/dementia unit focused on tailored, resident-centered care using verbal and non-verbal communication techniques
- The Transitional Rehabilitation Unit is a 42-bed short-term skilled nursing and rehab unit serving patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other conditions; nursing services include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment
- 3 West is a 42-bed long-term care unit providing care for residents requiring long-term placement in a home-like environment
- Scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Valid Maine or compact LPN license required (license required if applicable)
- Associate degree in Nursing or graduation from a Maine State Board-approved LPN program
- Minimum 2 years of LPN/RN experience required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Strong teamwork, communication, and medical terminology skills preferred
- Ability to work flexibly across a 24/7 schedule and float to other units as needed

- Partners with residents and interdisciplinary care teams to provide direct and indirect patient care in a safe and therapeutic environment
- Previous employees of this facility are not eligible for this position
