American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience, prior travel experience, and high-acuity capability.
Details- 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- High-acuity patient population with a 1-2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- On-call required: 12 hours within every 6-week scheduling period
- Floating is required; travelers are floated first and may float to sister campuses (all within 15–20 minutes)
- EMR: Epic experience required
- Scrubs: Galaxy Blue and/or White
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course (completed and passed) required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course and EFM certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- High-acuity patient care experience required
- Accredited nursing degree required, OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (strict radius rule); candidates must not own or co-sign on any property within the 50-mile radius
- Two professional references required: one from within the past year, and one additional reference
- Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into the unit culture
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
- No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and will not be approved after an offer is made
- Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position — prior travel experience is required
