Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience and required ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications for a 12-week contract.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population spans pediatrics through geriatrics
- 4 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 25 patients
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekends are on-call only
- Call responsibilities are shared equally among contract staff (approximately 1 in 4 rotation)
- May float within the facility per scope of practice as needed
- Epic EMR experience required; also uses Pyxis and SBAR
- Scrubs provided by the facility
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Tech experience required
- Active BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to work with a pediatric through geriatric patient population
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Travelers who have worked at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
- RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them and no holiday RTO will be approved; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted
- Candidates undergo a clinical review prior to manager consideration
- Full compliance must be completed on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
