American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior Level I trauma experience.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital setting with a Level I Trauma Center designation
- Emergency Department (ER) unit
- 13-week contract
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- On-call required as needed
- Weekend shifts required as needed; a weekend block schedule may be considered and can be discussed during the interview
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles is possible, though cross-campus floating is rare
- Active RN license — must be in full compliance with NLC guidelines; no pending licensure accepted
- MS or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required; 3 years preferred
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3 years of recent experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Large hospital experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- ADN degree minimum (BSN not required for this position)
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; RTO will not be approved if not listed upfront
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler must be willing to work at least 1
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler
- Vaccination status must be provided
