American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and a valid IL RN license.
Details- Emergency Department setting at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Mid shift: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with an expectation to be onsite within one hour
- All travelers are required to complete a 2-week nights rotation
- Every other weekend shift required
- Holiday shifts on a rotation basis
- No floating requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
- Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Provides direct patient care in the ED using the nursing process, including initial assessment, care plan development, implementation, and continuous modification
- Responsible for accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
- Collaborates with providers, patients, and families to promote a safe and healing environment
- Participates in peer feedback and professional development
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
- RTO not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
- Interviews are conducted by the facility leader prior to placement
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 3 years of ED nursing experience is required
