Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience for a day shift position at an acute care teaching hospital, with outpatient echo caseload experience required.
Details
- Acute care teaching hospital with 59 staffed beds
- Outpatient echo unit with an average caseload of 7 echos per day (1 per hour)
- Adult outpatient patient population
- Required echo procedures include 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, RVIT, and RVOT
- Required calculation experience includes Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area (PISA), and Simpson's Rule
- Preferred equipment experience includes PACS, Philips, and Siemens systems
- Charting via Epic (Excellian); experience required
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate/metro sites based on need
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography
- Active BLS certification required
- RCS or RDCS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with adult outpatient echo setting required
- Proficiency with advanced echo techniques including 2-D, 3-D, Doppler, contrast imaging, and hemodynamic calculations
- Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
- 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

- Pre-employment orientation modules are required prior to start date
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months before being considered
- RTO requests of no more than 5 days are preferred for the duration of the contract
- Scrub color to be confirmed upon placement
