Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Scan Technologist with 2 years of experience and at least one completed travel assignment for a night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Statesboro, GA.
Details
- CT Scanner department serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
- Routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures including CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures
- Also performs basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
- Procedures include studies with and without contrast media, angiographic and special procedures
- EMR: Cerner; Change Healthcare PACS experience preferred but not required
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- No call required
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- At least one prior travel assignment successfully completed
- ARRT (R) and BLS required; ARRT (CT) preferred but not required
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiologic technology program
- State license required if applicable
- Proficiency in CT scanning, C-arm procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiography, and surgical/sterile technique
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and contrast media administration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs CT scans and procedures and assists physicians and radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision
- Responsible for special procedures, angiographic procedures, related quality control monitoring, patient comfort and safety, and image quality assurance
- Ensures availability and sterility of equipment and supplies in assigned areas
- Hunter green scrubs required
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration; one major and one minor holiday may be required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
