American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2 years of experience for a fast-paced acute care setting utilizing a Philips 128-slice scanner and MEDITECH EMR.
Details- Acute care hospital setting in a CT department with 1 CT room
- Adult and pediatric patient population
- Common studies include strokes, STEMI, trauma, abdominal pain, head injury, kidney stones, and CTA
- High volume of outpatient CTs scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Primary equipment is a Philips 128-slice CT scanner with a Philips 16-slice backup and Bracco injectors
- PACS and Centralized Response Team Inquire System (CRTIS) are used in addition to MEDITECH EMR
- 12-hour shifts available on days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- Weekend days required with variable weekend scheduling; every other holiday required
- May be required to cover X-ray after hours from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM when CT volume is low
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Active ARRT (R) with CT CME requirements met, or ARRT (CT) certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses will not be accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates may not have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past 12 months (candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered)
- A valid driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- A radiation badge is required for this position
- Orientation consists of 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- No staff radiologist on-site
- Department uses team scheduling
- Fast-paced environment with a collaborative team; travelers in this department frequently extend and report a positive experience with the hospital and staff
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront — additional RTO will not be approved after submission
