American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT Technologist (X-Ray & CT) for a hybrid dual-location role requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience in both radiographic and CT imaging.

• Hybrid dual-location role split between an acute care hospital and an 11-bed freestanding ER with X-ray and CT capabilities
• One multimodality technologist is assigned per 12-hour shift at the freestanding ER location
• Performs CT scans and diagnostic radiographic exams at both locations
• Schedule is Friday through Sunday: Friday day shift (6:30 AM–7:00 PM) at the main campus, Saturday day shift (6:30 AM–7:00 PM) and Sunday night shift (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) at the freestanding ER location
• On-call rotation required among staff at the freestanding ER location only; if shifts are not filled during an on-call period, the traveler will be required to work
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free parking on site

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist with CT experience
• ARRT (R)(CT) or SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA accepted only)
• Must have completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology
• SC state license required if applicable
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the traveler's agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers

• Performs CT scans and radiographic exams of designated anatomical areas, obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; the 60-mile radius determines local candidate status
• Online modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Scrub colors required: black pants and teal top
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
