American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist (Rad Tech - CT Scan) for a 13-week day shift contract in Danville, IL, requiring ARRT certification and Epic EMR experience.
Details- Outpatient radiology/imaging setting performing diagnostic general radiological and CT procedures
- Monday–Friday day shift, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
- No weekend or holiday shifts
- Uses PACS and RIS systems for image management, scheduling, billing, and coding
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant radiologic technology experience
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- IEMA Illinois Radiography License required (license required if applicable)
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Perform CT and general radiographic procedures, including acquiring and processing patient exams per department protocols and accrediting body guidelines
- Administer IV contrast via existing IV line or venipuncture, and oral/rectal contrast when appropriate; recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions
- Review radiology orders, patient history, labs, and supporting clinical data to ensure medical necessity and exam accuracy
- Transfer and verify image data in PACS and provide relevant medical history for Radiologist interpretation
- May be required to perform duties in other modalities within the department based on held licensure
- May serve in a Lead Rad Tech or Imaging Coordinator capacity in their absence
- Assist in the instruction of students and new staff as needed
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any system location after reaching 1 year
