Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Day shift assignment requiring 1 year of experience and BLS with ARRT or CCI certification.

Details

• Community hospital setting within the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs
• Brief orientation provided when floating to other units

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• BLS certification required
• ARRT or CCI (RCIS) certification required
• Kansas license required if certified through ARRT
• License required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Experience with venous access, port accessing/management, and non-tunneled central venous access
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, left/right heart catheterization, and PCI/PTCA
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing
• May perform vascular studies and procedures such as angioplasty, carotid stenting, and dialysis graft interventions
• May assist with electrophysiology studies including cardiac ablation, AICD insertion/programming, and pacemaker insertion
• Preferred experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
• Former staff members must have separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered, as locals are not accepted
