Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week cardiac cath lab assignment, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab setting serving adult and geriatric patients
- Performs 25–35 invasive cath procedures per day, including cardiac interventions and adjunct therapies
- Procedures include balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, rotablader, CSI atherectomy, IABP, ACIST, OCT, Swan, IVUS, Angiojet, and radial/ulnar/femoral access
- EP lab procedures include device implantation, ablation, EP studies, and PV lab work (fistula, AO/LE runoff, pedal access)
- Patient diagnoses include coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmia, and abnormal electrical function of the heart
- Hemodynamic monitoring and conscious sedation are part of routine responsibilities
- EMR: Epic (Cupid and Xper Witt for hemodynamic monitoring)
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Call required as needed
- Floating may be required in the event of a COVID surge
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- RCIS or RCES strongly preferred but not required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency with scrubbing and EKG required
- Experience with invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures required
- License required if applicable
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- All candidates must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance; two attempts are allowed
- Study materials for the EKG exam will not be provided by the facility — candidates should prepare in advance
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced by the facility
