Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of experience for a 13-week contract at a Level 1 Trauma acute care facility, with EP experience preferred.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- Level 1 Trauma facility
- Unit consists of 8 fluoroscopy rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
- Procedures include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart caths, device cases, and EP cases
- Equipment includes XIM (Philips charting division), Epic, Pyxis, Xcelera, and Siemens and Philips fluoro systems
- 4x10-hour day shifts with varying start times (5:30 AM–4:00 PM, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, or 7:30 AM–6:00 PM)
- On-call requirement of 1 call shift per week and 1 call weekend every 3–4 weeks, with a 30-minute response time
- Clinicians will be placed on a mandate list to fill any vacant call shifts not otherwise covered
- No floating to other units or departments
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
- RCIS or RCES preferred
- EP experience a plus
- Experience scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring in a cath lab setting required
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy systems preferred
- License required if applicable
- Two professional references required — at least one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the same specialty
- Certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted

- Orientation is 8 hours and focused on monitoring in XIM and developing proficiency in scrubbing and circulating
- Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this; prior Sanford employees must have an end date at least 6 months before the consideration date
- Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate adjustment
- All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
