American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in New Hampshire, requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience and active NH or compact RN license.
Details- Cardiac Cath Lab and Stress Lab setting within a hospital environment
- Day shift: 7:00am–3:30pm
- On-call shifts required for both the Cath Lab and Stress Lab
- Patient population includes those undergoing complex cardiac interventions and angiography procedures
- Procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, arterial and venous sheath removal, and procedural sedation administration
- Experience with specialized equipment including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), IMPELLA, Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS
- Hemodynamic monitoring including arterial waveform interpretation during catheterization procedures
- 13-week contract
- Active NH RN license or compact state RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience required
- 3–5 years of critical care experience preferred
- BLS required; ACLS, PALS preferred
- CPI certification required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Experience with complex/critical care medication infusions, including titration management
- Experience with emergency cardiac interventions
- Must be able to reside within a 30-minute radius of the facility when on call
- Must pass annual sedation examination
- Conduct pre-admission testing including in-depth patient history and medication review to ensure peri-procedural safety
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in creating and maintaining a sterile field and planning equipment and supplies based on procedure and physician needs
- Responsible for monitoring and interpreting hemodynamic waveforms, including identification of damping and ventriculization during right and left heart catheterizations
- Assists physician with setup, insertion, and maintenance of IABP, IMPELLA, and other specialized cardiac devices
- Maintains radiation safety protocols and appropriate personal protective attire
- Basic Dysrhythmia and NIHSS certifications preferred or to be obtained prior to completion of orientation
- CPI advanced training for ED and ICU required within 6 months
- Defined workweek runs Sunday at 12:01am through Saturday at 11:59pm
