OVERVIEW
The Bulk Loading Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the oversight of all Bulk activities including, loading, finishing, and shipping of product by rail car, customer relations and directing employees.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assuring the proper loading and unloading of rail cars in an efficient manner. Tracking product inventory to ensure appropriate availability and make sure items are delivered to or from as expected. Interface with the customer in a professional manner to solve problems and answer questions. Maintain and coordinate documentation and certifications. Overseeing personnel in a unionized environment. Ensures area is audit ready at all times
WORK EXPERIENCES
- The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience working in a bulk loading department in a manufacturing setting with supervisory experience or equivalent military experience.
- Demonstrated success in leading operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts
- Experience in a unionized setting is preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited technical school, college, or university is preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Will supervise a work force of 25-50 union hourly employees
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Experience supervising union personnel
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and climb as needed
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or other related fields (food manufacturing a plus)
- Ability to train others
- Must possess quantifiable leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts if needed
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Knowledge of SAP
