Position Summary: The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping products accurately and efficiently. This entry-level position supports warehouse and logistics operations by ensuring orders are processed, labeled, and shipped according to company standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy before packaging and shipping.
- Label packages and complete shipping documentation.
- Operate shipping software and scanners as needed.
- Load and unload shipments safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Inspect packages for quality and damage prior to shipment.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming materials when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience using barcode scanners or warehouse management systems is helpful.
- Forklift certification is a plus (training may be provided).
