Appointment Setter will work within American Solar & Roofing Sales Team and will focus primarily on prequalifying Opportunities (new customer leads) for residential solar electric (PV) systems and roofing systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- The Appointment Setter will collect opportunity information, answer questions from customers and set appointments for site evaluations for Sales Consultants (SC’s)
- Schedule roof inspections for customers who inquire about replacing or repairing their roof.
- Contact all new Opportunities daily and gather all necessary info to prequalify the Opportunities using approved company process with the intent of establishing a site visit for S.C.
- Fill in all appropriate Salesforce fields as defined by Management and the Workflow Process document
- Participating in various shows, expos and community events as a representative of AS&R
- Check sales voice mail regularly and respond accordingly
- Help to shape prospects’ expectations on buying solar & roofing
- Keep lead record activities up to date in Salesforce
- Utilize inside sales tools and technologies as instructed with attention to accuracy and detail
- Meet or exceed sales lead follow up goals
- Make 50 phone calls and 20 emails per day to new and old leads and current customers
- Create and update quotes with customer information and inspection photos
- Manage various campaigns created by the company.
- Assist the service department with their responsibilities, including scheduling service appointments, creating quotes, and communicating with customers.
- Generate quotes for sales and/or service opportunities.
- Keep sales documents printed and available.
- Maintenance & upkeep of OSA/ISA process binders
- Update email templates and reports through Salesforce
- Education: Minimum of high school diploma
- Experience: 1 – 2 years of previous customer service experience
- Other: Must be outgoing and present an impeccable professional manner
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction with a pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude.
- Clear, accurate and professional communications, in both verbal and writing skills. Ability to listen with care.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow through, with strong decision making and analytical skills; excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent follow up skills to achieve performance goals.
- Answer all inbound calls throughout the day.
- Make 50 outbound calls and 20 emails per day.
- Experience with multi-line phones; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Ability to use Salesforce CRM software.
- Willingness to learn technical information regarding solar system and roofing design, installation and operation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and work within time constraints.
- Must be a self-starter who can work effectively, patiently, and pleasantly with other staff, customers and the general public
Physical Qualifications
- Long stretches of time sitting down and using a computer and phone
- Extended periods of time reading a computer screen.
- Climbing up and down stairs
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40lbs
- Repetitive motion for data entry (typing/clicking)
