What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at American Products, Inc?
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all areas of warehouse and production management. This includes but is not limited to overseeing, implementing and working hands-on with scheduling, pulling of materials, fabrication of materials, quality control, inventory management and the management of warehouse employees, processes and procedures. You will help oversee areas of warehouse operations such as scheduling, metal fabrication, shipping/receiving, powder coating, building doors, assembly, glazing and glass work and more. You will provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and will also work alongside the staff daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the facilities daily
- Understand daily schedules and priorities and ensure work is completed timely and accurately
- Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy
- Train new and existing warehouse personnel
- Monitor quality of product handling
- Leading Metal Fabrication, Glazing and Glass work
- Establish, maintain and promote high standards of quality, productively, accuracy, and more
- Ensure that equipment is maintained to company operating standards
- Jump in and be hands-on where an extra set of hands is needed
- Create and update SOPs as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to team and management
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing, construction and building materials preferred
- Experience working in a warehouse environment, ideally in the construction or manufacturing industry
- Storefront experience is a plus
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur
- Willing to work hands on with the team daily
