Glazier

American Products, a local metal manufacturer of storefront, storefront doors, sheet metal, canopies, sunshades, etc. is currently seeking experienced Glaziers and fabricators to join our team. We are located in Oldsmar on Racetrack Road. We are hiring a Glazier to:

• Work in our shop AND/OR
• Travel throughout the Tampa Bay area installing storefront, canopies, and related materials.

If you work in the shop, you will work in our shop on a daily basis fabricating doors, curtainwall, storefront and metal products as well as shipping and receiving, installing door hardware, pulling material and quality control, etc.

If you install, you will typically travel within a 1-2 hour radius around Tampa Bay.

Responsibilities: (including, but not limited to):

• Pulling and packing storefront, curtain wall and entrance systems
• Building Doors and or installing doors - understand door hardware and all door parts a plus but not required
• General warehouse work as needed - pulling materials, packing, inventory of storefronts, doors and curtainwall, shipping and receiving,
• Fabrication of doors, storefront and curtainwall systems as needed
• If you install, you will install products like storefront, doors, bathroom partitions, canopies, etc. within a 1-2 hour radius of Tampa.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Glazing / carpentry / fabricator / install experience
• Understanding of storefront systems, doors, hardware, etc.
• Interpret blueprints when needed
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Able to lift approx. 60 lbs
• Forklift, boom exp. a plus
• OSHA training a plus but not required
• Sheet metal fabrication a plus but not required
• Installation of wall panel systems like acm aluminum composite panels a plus but not required
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must be able to provide at least three references from prior supervisors
