Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of damaged vehicles to accurately assess the extent of collision repairs needed.
- Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software to prepare precise repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials.
- Communicate clearly with customers, explaining repair procedures and cost estimates in a friendly, transparent manner.
- Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and service advisors to coordinate repair timelines and ensure quality standards are met.
- Upsell additional services such as mechanical repairs, oil changes, tire services, or suspension work when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and shop revenue.
- Manage all aspects of service writing, including documenting vehicle damage reports and processing repair orders efficiently.
- Maintain thorough records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions while adhering to dealership or shop policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management, collision repair estimation, or automotive diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician preferred.
- Familiarity with the automotive body repair processes to include
- Proficiency in computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and automotive service management systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
