Position Summary: The EDI Integration Specialist will lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and API-based integrations across our organization. This role is pivotal to ensuring seamless order processing, data flow, and partner onboarding as we scale operations across multiple brands and ERP environments (Oracle EBS and AS400/IBMi). As the primary EDI subject matter expert — managing partner connectivity, mapping data exchanges, troubleshooting transactional issues, and working directly with both internal teams and external trading partners. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Integration Architecture & Partner Onboarding
- Own the full lifecycle of EDI/API integrations: from partner requirements gathering and mapping to testing, launch, and ongoing support.
- Design, configure, and maintain EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 810, 856, 997) and APIs to enable real-time order processing and partner communication.
- Coordinate onboarding of new trading partners using tools such as SPS Commerce, Cleo VLTrader, or comparable VAN/connectivity platforms.
- Work cross-functionally with customer service, supply chain, and finance to tailor integrations for operational efficiency.
Mapping, Configuration & Standards
- Create and manage EDI mapping logic across internal systems and third-party tools.
- Maintain and optimize mappings using tools such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Gentran, BizTalk, or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Ensure compliance with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols (AS2, FTP/SFTP, HTTPS).
Operational Support & Troubleshooting
- Proactively monitor transaction flows and resolve EDI/API failures, transmission errors, or partner-side discrepancies.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for EDI issues internally and externally.
- Collaborate with ERP teams (Oracle EBS, AS400/IBMi) to ensure data alignment and processing integrity.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for mappings, protocols, partner configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide visibility into integration performance through dashboards and exception reporting.
- Recommend opportunities to streamline or automate manual workflows.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Implement and enforce data privacy, security, and integrity standards across all integration activities.
- Stay informed of emerging EDI technologies, regulatory updates, and trading partner expectations.
- Manage small- and large-scale projects; Assist with various special projects and company initiatives.
- Participates on internal committees as a leader and/or facilitator.
- Ensure all decision making supports, sustains, drives and optimizes Artisant Lane culture.
Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operations Artisant Lane Collective.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years hands-on experience managing EDI environments, including trading partner onboarding, mapping, testing, and support.
- Proficiency with EDI mapping/configuration tools and understanding of data transformation workflows.
- Experience integrating with ERP platforms such as Oracle EBS and AS400/IBMi.
- Knowledge of secure data transmission protocols: AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTPS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight. Experience developing systems and workflows in a customer-oriented business that supports a growing company.
- Experience in managing various levels of employees with different educational backgrounds, work style habits, and employment histories.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with integration middleware such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud, or similar.
Familiarity with SPS Commerce, Cleo VLTrader, OpenText, or other common EDI/VAN providers.
Background in consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or supply chain domains.
Basic SQL or scripting proficiency for data validation and troubleshooting.

Travel & Other Requirements:
- 20% travel within the United States
- Occasional weekends and evenings will be needed related to company events, travel, or deadline sensitive projects.

Duties are performed primarily in an office environment at a desk in front of a computer within an office setting, must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. Must be able to operate general office equipment. Noise exposure due to machinery, conveyor belts, and production equipment. Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch. Raise and lower an object from one level to another, less than 20 lbs. Good (corrected) eyesight and hand/eye coordination. Often in Plant production facilities/areas- where an employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust and weather conditions and standard hazards within a manufacturing plant. Safety precautions and personal protective equipment must be maintained at all times.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
