JOB TITLE: Continuous Improvement Specialist

SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Continuous Improvement Specialist to assist with streamlining our manufacturing processes. This role requires a forward-thinking professional who can lead efforts in process improvement, ensuring our operations are efficient, cost-effective, and continuously evolving. While furniture production experience is preferred, it is not required. This position involves leadership, organization, and a focus on innovation and operational excellence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Introduce best practices and lean manufacturing techniques to enhance overall efficiency.
- Train and engage team members in process improvement initiatives to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute improvement strategies.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proven experience in process improvement in a production environment or a related manufacturing role.
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and optimizing workflows.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Track record of motivating and developing teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement
- Experience in upholstered furniture is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., ERP systems, scheduling tools, Microsoft Office Suite).
