JOB TITLE: Upholstery Repair – Utility (Customer Care)
DEPARTMENT: Upholstery
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt – Hourly Pay
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6 am - 4:00 pm and Friday 6 am – 11 am
Climate controlled facilities. Overtime may be required beyond the posted work schedule and/or a varied schedule may be required per business needs.

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Upholstery associate makes, repairs, or replaces upholstery for our high-end household furniture. Upholsterers fit, install, and secure material (fabric or leather) onto wooden frames using hand tools, power tools, glue, or staples. This process includes aligning parts and fabric to ensure proper assembly and the highest quality standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply leather or fabric to furniture frames using hand tools and upholstery equipment.
- Perform repairs while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and production levels.
- Use a computer or scan gun to track work for production and repair processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in proper working conditions.
- Assist with unloading incoming furniture or products at LEE Customer Care for repair processing.
- Assist with packing completed furniture for shipment when required.
- Support production needs by assisting with building new furniture products when required, including work in LEE Outdoor Line, Plant 3, or Plant 5.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a team-oriented attitude by assisting with any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management.
- Ability to travel between different plants. (Newton & Conover)
- All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Furniture Upholstery experience (3 years)
- LEAN manufacturing a plus
- Basic computer knowledge
- Highschool Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to deliver uncompromised quality and detailed craftsmanship
- Ability to work fulltime
EFFORT
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for 10 hours per day
- Able to use hand tools/air tools/staple gun for 10 hours
