What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Secretary position at American Leadership Academy?
Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.
American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for an Athletic Secretary for the 2026-2027 school year for our Gilbert North High School campus. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid AZ IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer telephone to provide information, take messages, or transfer calls.
- Greet visitors, determine nature of business, and direct visitors to destination.
- Compose, or transcribe from rough draft, correspondence, bulletins, memorandums, newsletters, and other materials.
- Maintain calendar of school events.
- Assist with activity fees.
- Prepare notes and memos going home to parents regarding any school events.
- Keep track of uniform rotation.
- Send out Alert Solutions messages as directed by the athletic director.
- Maintain confidentially and a need-to-know policy with regard to staff and student information.
- Observe safety and security procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Perform clerical duties for the athletic director such as schedule room usage for athletic teams, create rosters, and complete weekly academic eligibility checks for student athletes.
- Assists in creating the season schedules for athletic teams.
- Other duties assigned by the athletic director or campus director.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
