What you can offer us:
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of new hardware and firmware products for Cathodic Protection and related application.
- Ensure launches are on time, on budget, and meet organizational quality standards.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, including component suppliers, contract manufacturers, and testing labs to support prototyping and pilot.
- Drive cross-disciplinary project teams through all phases of the product lifecycle-from concept, design, and prototyping through pilot, product release, and launch.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and product management teams to ensure ISO compliance and readiness for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Champion best practices for continuous improvement across R&D, manufacturing, and support operations; fostering a culture of learning and operational excellence.
- Facilitate and lead effective team meetings, cross-functional discussions, and project status updates to promote collaboration, transparency, and timely issue resolution.
What you need to succeed:
- 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager (or similar role) in an R&D, hardware, or technology environment, with a demonstrated track record of structured project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional project teams to deliver complex technical hardware and/or firmware projects on time and within budget, utilizing formal project management processes.
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, including those outlined by PMI (e.g., scope, schedule, cost, risk, stakeholder, and quality management).
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodologies (formal certification such as CSM preferred); ability to flex between Agile and traditional/waterfall approaches as needed.
- Familiarity with product development lifecycles—especially NPI
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to manage project risks, resolve issues proactively, and facilitate root-cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; skilled at stakeholder management, expectation setting, and reporting at all organizational levels.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment, even without direct authority.
- High level of initiative, adaptability, and results orientation in dynamic R&D settings.
- Aptitude for learning and applying new technologies, including AI and automation tools, to improve project outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field (MS preferred).
Preferred qualifications:
- PMP or CAPM certification (or progress toward certification).
- 7 years in project management within a technology or industrial product company.
- Experience with Agile and/or managing projects with distributed teams.
- Direct experience with hardware/firmware products.
