Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for machined parts and weldments.
- Inspect parts accurately and efficiently to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Measure dimensions and tolerances, including run-out, concentricity, flatness, and perpendicularity.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
- Inspect incoming materials and purchased parts for conformance to purchase orders and specifications.
- Conduct full inspections of first articles and generate in-process, final inspection, and non-conformance reports as required.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating effective time management and decision-making skills.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments to support manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with setup and qualification of machine tool positioning accuracy and repeatability, with experience in laser measuring systems considered a plus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years experience and/or training in a mechanical inspection environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Proficient in using measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is a plus.
- Knowledge of both Metric and English measuring systems.
- Experience with laser measuring systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
