Position Overview
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, patient registration, insurance verification, and coordinating patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience & Front Desk
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Manage patient flow and communicate wait times effectively
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience
Registration & Insurance
- Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility
- Accurately enter patient information into EMR (Experity preferred)
- Explain visit costs, co-pays, and billing policies
Payments & Administration
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay balances
- Maintain daily cash drawer and ensure accurate reconciliation
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries
- Scan and upload documents into patient records
Compliance & Support
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Support clinical team with administrative needs
- Ensure front desk area is organized and efficient
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of customer service, front desk, or administrative experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience in urgent care, medical office, or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology
- Experience with EMR systems (Experity is a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
