Sales Assistant Footwear

Overview:
Were seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wholesale Sales Assistant to support our Footwear Sales team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth communication between sales, production, and retail partners, while helping drive operational excellence and account satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Provide weekly spreadsheet updates to the Account Executive on open orders, sales status, and key account metrics.
    • Generate and maintain sales reports, inventory summaries, and sell-through data.
    • Assist with evaluating sell-through reports and support the Sales team in managing reorders or markdown strategies.
  • Sample & Market Support:
    • Receive and manage Top-of-Production (TOP) samples; send to retailers and internal teams as needed.
    • Organize, track, and distribute product samples, catalogs, and photo assets.
    • Assist with showroom setup, market preparation, and trade show presentations.
  • Account & Client Support:
    • Act as a point of contact for wholesale accounts, handling inquiries and providing timely updates.
    • Support the sales team in researching potential new clients and maintaining communication with existing accounts.

  • Order Processing & Management:
      • Enter and track customer purchase orders from initial entry through final shipment.
      • Follow up with shipping and production to ensure on-time deliveries.
      • Handle any order changes, updates, or issues between the Account Executive, production, and factory teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Serve as a liaison between Sales, Production, Design, and Customer Service to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to communicate retailer requirements and resolve any issues quickly.



Skills and competencies required:

  • 13 years of experience in wholesale sales support, preferably within footwear, fashion, or consumer goods.
  • Experience working with major department stores, specialty stores & off price retailers in the US.
  • Experience with EDI strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, dedicated and process-driven team player with heavy attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, prioritize workload successfully and execute projects with fast-turnaround, under budget, ahead of tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in Excel with a high volume of data
  • High energy level and a passion for your work and the overall business
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to be flexible for business needs

Salary: The anticipated base salary is $65k - $75k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
